Features

Everything Event Trekker does for your trip

Each feature below is built to solve a real travel headache. For every one: the problem, what Event Trekker does, and why it helps.

01 A timeline that shows the venue's local time

Problem

Abroad, your phone's clock and the venue's clock disagree. It's easy to show up an hour early — or miss a timed entry entirely.

What Event Trekker does

Every activity shows the venue's local time as the primary time, with your current time right beside it. Days are split with clear dividers, each activity carries a status, and the timeline scrolls to "now" so you always see what's happening and what's next.

Why it helps

You read one line and know exactly when to be there, in the time that matters — the venue's.

02 Organize trips inside a travel group

Problem

A family or group of friends often takes more than one trip together, and everyone needs to see the right one.

What Event Trekker does

Create a travel group, then add trips inside it with their own dates, default time zone and currency. Switch between trips, and filter your own by upcoming, in progress or past. Everyone in the group sees the group's trips; people outside the group can't.

Why it helps

Your trips stay organized by who you travel with, and access stays inside the group.

03 Let AI draft activities and timelines — you stay in control

Problem

Building a day-by-day plan from scratch is slow and fiddly.

What Event Trekker does

Describe an activity in plain language ("Tokyo Tower at 10am Friday") and AI scaffolds a draft you review and save. Or ask AI to draft a whole trip timeline — and when you apply it, it appends to your plan rather than replacing what you already built. AI is only used after you consent, and personal details are stripped from the prompt first.

Why it helps

You skip the typing, keep the control, and never lose work you've already done.

04 Keep every ticket, voucher and QR code with its activity

Problem

Tickets end up as screenshots in a camera roll and confirmations get buried in email — both hard to find at the turnstile.

What Event Trekker does

Attach files (PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC) to each activity — more than one per activity if you need. Snap a photo with the camera, or forward a booking-confirmation email and it becomes a draft activity. Files are stored securely and virus-scanned.

Why it helps

The right ticket is with the right activity, ready in seconds when you need it.

Event Trekker stores your ticket and QR files — it keeps them so you can show them; it isn't a QR scanner.

05 Track and split expenses across currencies

Problem

On a group trip abroad, money gets messy fast — different currencies, different payers, and no clear picture of who owes whom.

What Event Trekker does

Add expenses in any currency with a live exchange-rate preview, tag who paid, and link it to an activity. Split each expense equally, by weight, a fixed amount, or by headcount per family. See trip totals by person, family and category, then check balances and a suggested settle-up. The exchange rate is captured at the time of purchase, so cross-currency trips settle fairly.

Why it helps

Everyone ends the trip knowing exactly what they owe — no arguments, no guesswork.

06 Invite family and friends, with roles

Problem

Sharing a plan usually means re-sending screenshots every time something changes.

What Event Trekker does

Invite people to your travel group by email or in-app username; they accept or decline, and you can see your invite history. Members have roles — Owner, Editor or Read-only — and you can manage a personal blocked-senders list for invites.

Why it helps

Everyone joins once and always sees the current plan, with the right level of access.

07 A push reminder before each activity

Problem

Even with a plan, it's easy to lose track of time on a busy travel day.

What Event Trekker does

Get a push notification before each activity — 30 minutes ahead by default, and you can choose 0, 15, 30, 60, 120 or 1440 minutes. Everything you're notified about also lives in an in-app feed with an unread count, so you can catch up anytime.

Why it helps

You get a nudge in time to move, and nothing important slips by.

08 Works offline when you need it most

Problem

A foreign SIM dies, hotel wifi crawls, or you're deep inside a museum with no signal — right when you need your ticket.

What Event Trekker does

Your activities and attachments are cached on your phone so you can view them offline, with a clear offline banner. When you reconnect, changes sync automatically.

Why it helps

Your plan and your tickets are there even when your data isn't.

09 See who changed what

Problem

When several people edit the same plan, changes can quietly collide.

What Event Trekker does

When more than one person edits, Event Trekker keeps the latest change, shows an "edited by" note, and alerts you if someone else changed the same thing.

Why it helps

The group stays in sync and nobody's edit disappears silently.

This is collaborative editing with clear "edited by" notes and conflict alerts — not simultaneous live co-editing.

10 Share a read-only link to your itinerary

Problem

Sometimes you want to show a plan to someone who doesn't need to edit it.

What Event Trekker does

Create a read-only public share link, copy it, see how many times it's been opened, and revoke it whenever you like.

Why it helps

You can share the plan safely without giving anyone edit access.

11 Keep track of what to do and what to pack

Problem

Pre-trip tasks and packing are easy to forget in the rush.

What Event Trekker does

Build per-trip to-do lists you can check off, with an open-count banner and a search filter, plus category-based packing templates you can bulk-add.

Why it helps

Nothing important gets left at home — or left undone before you go.

12 See your trip's story, and export it

Problem

After a trip, it's hard to remember what happened and what everything cost.

What Event Trekker does

See daily and whole-trip summaries — spend per day, category breakdowns, per-family balances and highlights. You can also generate AI event summaries (whole trip, a day, or a custom range) and share them as text or PDF, and export a whole-trip summary to PDF.

Why it helps

You get a clear wrap-up of the trip and the money, ready to keep or share.

13 Never miss where to pick up a pass

Problem

Some tickets have to be collected in person, at a specific place and time — easy to forget in a new city.

What Event Trekker does

Flag an activity as "ticket must be collected," set when and where, anchored to the venue's time zone with a preview in both time zones, and get reminded.

Why it helps

You show up to collect your pass at the right place and the right time.
